What are we doing ?
At V2O Marine, we manufacture nets that are unique in the world. Thanks to more than 20 years of development, these innovative, patented anti-sargassum nets enable us to combat invasive algae effectively and sustainably. We work with local stakeholders to install, clean and maintain the nets. For each project, we advise our customers on the best methods and products to use.
Our patented nets, 100% made in France, are available in 3 technologies:
• New-generation ZEUS anti-sargassum barriers.
Several km deployed worldwide, particularly in the French West Indies. Guaranteed to withstand 4m swell and 200kmh wind, our barriers are the most resistant and effective in the world. Our world-renowned experts train local teams in the best practices for high-performance booms.
• POSEIDON sea recovery nets.
Several models sold in the Caribbean. This trawl net equips fishermen to recover sargassum very efficiently. A net maneuverable by a fisherman can recover around 5 tons of Sargassum per hour.
• DORIS shore recovery nets.
Several models sold in France. This innovative net recovers sargassum with 0% sand. It fits into tractor buckets and empties out the back like a fisherman’s net.
